COMING Summer 2027
TURTLE ISLAND KIDS MAGAZINE
From the Arctic to the Gulf, from the Pacific to the Atlantic — Turtle Island is home to hundreds of Indigenous nations, languages, and living traditions. Turtle Island Kids is a magazine that honors all of them.
Packed with games, puzzles, and cultural learning adventures, every issue is made to celebrate the full, rich tapestry of Indigenous life across North America. Because our children deserve to grow up seeing themselves — their languages, their stories, their belonging — reflected back at them.
Our stories. Our cultures. Our future.
Subscription sign-ups open January 2027. Be among the first to bring Turtle Island Kids home. Subscribe to our newsletter and we'll reach out the moment sign-ups begin.
Made by Our People, for Our People
Every page of Turtle Island Kids is brought to life by Native artists who create, collaborate, and pour their knowledge and creativity into every issue. This isn't a one-person operation — it's a gathering. Artists weave their individual voices into something that feels whole, intentional, and authentically ours.
Their work is valued because it is valuable. Every contributing artist is paid for their time and talent, because building a sustainable, community-centered publication means making sure the people who bring it to life are honored and compensated fairly.
Cultural work is real work, and we treat it that way.
To every artist who will sit down with us and add their mark to these pages — quyana. The Yaaruin Collective is built on your gifts, and so is the future we're making for our kids.
